Key Differences Between Chubb and Vouch

Brokerage and Corix Versus Chubb Paper

Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the brokerage that arranges policies; the named insurer takes the risk. That broker is distinct from Corix program paper and from Chubb-group issuers. 45 2

Corix is a program business distinct from the current Vouch broker. An old Vouch-branded policy, a Corix guide and a new Vouch proposal should not be treated as the same contract. 45 55

Technology Forms

Vouch’s technology practice lists technology E&O and cyber and can compare carriers. Corix’s public cyber/E&O page describes a combined form for professional and technology wrongful acts when that program is used. Chubb DigiTech is Chubb’s combined technology E&O, media and cyber product. Request the actual form; do not assign Corix features to every Vouch quote or to Chubb. 57 10

Contract Review and Renewals

Vouch offers coverage and contract-requirement reviews and coordinates multi-carrier renewals, including attention to retroactive dates. Chubb’s service path is the appointed agent plus Chubb account services. Continuity of prior acts when moving from Corix or another market onto Chubb needs an explicit tail or retro date answer. 62 65 30

Claims Advocacy Versus Insurer Desk

Vouch advertises claims advocacy without an extra client charge and separates advocacy from the insurer’s coverage decision. Chubb publishes insurer first-notice channels. Advocacy does not bind Chubb if Chubb is not the issuer. 66 33

What Should You Confirm in Chubb and Vouch Quotes?

  • Program identity: Corix, another Vouch market, or a Chubb affiliate on each line. 56 30

  • Defense inside limits and counsel terms on the actual D&O and cyber forms. 59 13

  • Retroactive dates before ending a Vouch/Corix claims-made policy. 65

  • Vouch commissions and payment charges on a Chubb placement. 45

Chubb vs Vouch Services Compared

What each provider documents about the services you may need

CriteriaChubbVouch
Business role

Businesses buying Chubb coverage receive a policy from a US underwriting company, not from Chubb Limited, the Swiss holding company. Chubb is the marketing name for the group’s insurance subsidiaries and related services. 39,2,25VerifiedGroup identity from the 2025 Form 10-K Item 1 and U.S. website legal disclosures. The holding company is not the risk-bearing insurer on a given U.S. policy.

Most commercial buyers need an independent agent or broker to reach Chubb; surplus-lines products require a licensed surplus-lines producer. Chubb appoints producers and operates agent portals, while Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency, Inc. administers Chubb Access appointments. 29,30,2,38Company-reportedU.S. distribution as described on agent-access, contact and terms pages. This does not mean every independent agent is appointed for every product.

Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. 45,51Company-reportedCurrent 6 August 2025 disclosure takes precedence over the older Terms of Use for current broker identity. No independent corporate registry or license finding implied.

Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. 55,45,46Company-reportedCompany-reported legal-name continuity. Older Vouch terms still list both producers; do not conflate their NPNs or infer current underwriting ownership from the older name.

Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. 53,54Company-reportedAcquirer announcement covers both named entities; audited annual-report note 25 explicitly confirms Corix closing. Does not independently establish the separate carrier transfer date, regulatory approval or any particular policy migration.

Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. 56,54Conflicting sourcesConflict is retained and resolved for the article using later transaction evidence; no conclusion that the distribution agreement ended.

Coverage lines

Technology companies can compare DigiTech ERM, which combines technology E&O, media and cyber in one policy, with Chubb’s Cyber ERM or Pro ERM options; the issued form sets actual terms, limits and exclusions. 10,9,4Company-reportedU.S. cyber product pages accessed 16 September 2026. Product names are not equivalent coverage across every insured.

Businesses can also ask Chubb about BOP, workers’ compensation, auto, umbrella/excess, management liability, property, marine, builders risk, equipment breakdown, cargo, environmental, surety, product recall and transaction coverage; product names do not mean one package includes every line. 4,7,11,15,25,27Company-reportedOfferings documented on dedicated product or industry solution pages. Availability, admitted versus surplus paper, and wording vary by product, size and jurisdiction.

Vouch lists technology errors and omissions, cyber liability, directors and officers, general liability, workers’ compensation, employment practices liability, key person, crime, product liability and umbrella coverage for technology companies. The list describes options, not a package that automatically includes every line. 50Company-reportedCurrent Core coverages for Technology list. No limits, insuring agreements or class/state eligibility inferred from labels.

A public Corix Cyber and E&O application names United Specialty Insurance Company and offers selectable cyber, errors and omissions, and media liability coverage. Its first page describes claims-made liability coverage and says defense costs reduce the available limit unless the policy is endorsed otherwise. 58Company-reportedApplication CET 10–0054 03 25, page 1 of 10. Not a specimen insurance contract or evidence of terms on all Vouch placements. Claims-made notice and reporting conditions require full wording.

Corix’s other documented programs include management liability with directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary options, and a commercial package with general liability, property, hired and non-owned auto, and employee benefits liability options. 59,60Company-reportedCorix product summaries; distribution relationship does not guarantee Vouch access to every module for every risk.

The reviewed Vouch pages and Corix materials did not establish a complete current policy form, endorsement set or insurer-by-product schedule for a new Vouch buyer. Ask for those documents with the proposal, especially when a quoted policy comes from a different insurer or program. 46,51,57,59,60,58,70Not found in reviewed sourcesReviewed current Vouch legal/technology/carrier pages; Corix product pages, linked June 2025 product guides and cyber and management applications. Guides/applications are not complete policy forms. Not a finding that documents cannot be obtained.

Corix’s cyber/E&O page describes system-failure business interruption and a form combining professional and technology E&O. It also warns that social engineering, AI activities and intellectual-property disputes can have conditions, sublimits or exclusions. 57Company-reportedCorix product-page highlights and qualification paragraphs; not complete policy wording or evidence of a benefit in every Vouch proposal.

Corix’s management liability page describes an option to use defense counsel outside its panel, subject to conditions such as sharing costs. Crisis-management expenses have sublimits, and pre-claim assistance is an optional extension with its own terms. 59Company-reportedCorix product-page highlights and qualification paragraphs; no numeric sublimit or eligibility assumed.

Application process

Eligible small businesses can get agent-assisted quotes through Chubb Marketplace, with Cyber Central offering an express cyber route; the described online path is for appointed agents and brokers, not a general-public bind for middle-market technology programs. Cyber risks under $100 million revenue may qualify; referred risks go to underwriters. 9,10,30,31,12Company-reportedU.S. agent platforms and buyer contact paths as of 16 September 2026. Quote speed and bindability are not guaranteed for any applicant.

Vouch’s public application starts with your legal business name, website, business address and location type, followed by your role and contact details. There is a separate sign-in path for an existing application or policy. 49Company-reportedChrome observation of public first screen only. No personal or business data entered, account created, consent accepted or application submitted. Later steps not tested.

Vouch says its platform presents carrier options together, with differences in coverage, exclusions, endorsements and pricing explained by advisors. The reviewed pages do not promise a fixed number of quotes or a search of every insurer. 51Company-reportedCompany-described authenticated comparison experience; not tested. This is curated brokerage access, not proof of whole-market coverage.

Vouch says many technology companies can arrange coverage within days, with smaller programs sometimes completed in minutes. Those are company timing claims. Its buying guide says coverage requires binding confirmation and the effective date, with underwriting and payment conditions satisfied. 50,52Company-reportedTechnology FAQ and June 2026 educational binding guide; no actual application or bind completed. No guaranteed turnaround adopted.

Access to insurers

Check the declarations for your policy’s actual insurer because different Chubb companies issue different placements. Sources name Federal Insurance Company, ACE American, Westchester Fire or Westchester Surplus Lines, and for some business Illinois Union or other ACE paper. 30,25,28,36,41Company-reportedU.S. commercial placements. Ratings cited on Westchester’s page are company-reported and were not independently verified.

Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. 56Company-reportedCompany-described insurer relationships only, not independent verification of admitted status or product authority. No current complete Vouch product/carrier/state matrix found.

Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. 70Company-reportedApplication SML 10-0002 03 25, printed page 1 of 13, linked from the current management liability product page. This identifies one public program application, not the insurer for every Vouch D&O or employment practices placement.

Claims assistance

You can report claims around the clock through Chubb’s claim line, cyber hotline and product-specific email; eligible small-commercial policyholders can also upload documents in the portal. Published satisfaction figures are company surveys, not a guarantee about your claim. 32,33,34,9,30Company-reportedU.S. claims contact and portal descriptions. Portal access may be limited for policies underwritten by certain Chubb companies. No independent claims-outcome review was performed.

Vouch advertises claims advocacy at no cost to its clients, with a dedicated advocate and help communicating with insurers. It describes assisting with reporting, documentation and follow-up. The issuing insurer decides coverage and pays covered claims. 66,67Company-reportedService/claims-role descriptions, not independently observed performance or a guarantee of claim acceptance. No implication of free legal representation.

Vouch’s help center links to a claim request form asking about the incident, its location, estimated loss and supporting documents. Your policy’s notice instructions remain important: confirm the correct recipient, deadline and any separate cyber incident-response contact. 68,69,67Company-reportedForm retrieved through web text; browser screenshot blocked by security challenge. No submission, loss report or receipt tested. Policy-specific notice requirements not established by availability of broker form.
