What Last-mile delivery insurance Requirements Apply in Nevada?
NRS 690B.470 requires at least $50,000/$100,000/$25,000 while a driver is logged in and not otherwise providing transportation services, and at least $1 million while providing those services. NRS 706A.060 defines transportation services as carrying passengers from acceptance until the last passenger gets out. The Division of Insurance FAQ, revised January 2020, still describes $1.5 million for the on-trip phases and says many personal auto policies exclude transportation-network activity from the moment of log-on. Use the statute for the dollar limit.
What Is Last-Mile Delivery Insurance?
Last-mile delivery insurance is not one standard policy: vehicle liability, vehicle damage and cargo protection can be separate. If your staff deliver orders in company, rented or personal vehicles, check each vehicle, cargo and worker-injury exposure in the quote. Read the national Last-mile delivery guide.

What Should You Watch for With Last-Mile Delivery Insurance in Nevada?
Do Not Bind the Older $1.5 Million FAQ Figure
The Division's FAQ revised in January 2020 still says $1.5 million for the on-trip phases. NRS 690B.470, including its 2025 amendment note, states $1 million while transportation services are being provided. Ask the broker to match the quote to the statute, not to the older FAQ dollar. 1,3
Personal Coverage Can Stop at Log-On
The same FAQ says many personal auto policies exclude any transportation-network activity, and that a personal policy generally stops providing coverage from log-on until log-off. The $50,000/$100,000/$25,000 statutory floor still has to be in force in that window, from the company policy if the personal policy has stepped out. 3
Transportation Services Means Passengers
NRS 706A.060 defines the service as carrying one or more passengers between points the passenger chooses, from acceptance until the last passenger fully disembarks. A goods delivery is not that service. The $1 million statute limit is not a parcel minimum. 2
Which Last-Mile Delivery Providers Have Nevada License Records?
No provider in our research documents both a state license record and this coverage line. This does not establish that providers are unlicensed. Check the regulator’s license lookup and confirm availability with a provider when requesting a quote.
Who Regulates Insurance in Nevada?

Nevada Division of Insurance
The Nevada Division of Insurance regulates insurers and producers and provides a license verification tool for agents, agencies and companies. Its Consumer Services unit accepts insurance complaints and questions. 4,5,6
Surplus-Lines Tax and Stamping Office in Nevada
Reported tax rate. Same tax rate as admitted coverage of the same kind; an approved filing fee may also apply 7,8,9,10
When Nevada is the insured’s home state, Nevada taxes surplus-lines coverage at the rate imposed on similar admitted coverage and adds any approved filing fee; the rate therefore depends on the line and applicable fee approval. Nevada law requires a diligent effort to place coverage with authorized insurers except where the statutory exempt-commercial-purchaser conditions apply, and the policy must warn that the Nevada Insurance Guaranty Association will not cover the contract.
Questions to Ask Before You Buy Last-Mile Delivery in Nevada

- Does the personal policy exclude coverage from log-on until log-off, as the Division describes?
- Is the trip carrying passengers under NRS 706A.060, or delivering goods outside that definition?
