Separate the Current Broker from Historical Names
Corix identifies Corix Insurance Services, LLC as the former Vouch Insurance Services, LLC. That is a different entity from Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC, the broker named on Vouch’s current site. 24,14,15Company-reported. Company-reported legal-name continuity. Older Vouch terms still list both producers; do not conflate their NPNs or infer current underwriting ownership from the older name.
Hiscox’s acquisition announcement named Corix and Vouch Insurance Company, while saying Vouch would remain an independent broker with a distribution agreement. Its later accounts confirm the Corix closing. That doesn’t make Hiscox the parent of Vouch Specialty, and it doesn’t identify the insurer on every Vouch policy. Ask for that separately. RiskCube’s disclosed LLC/parent structure is separate from the insurers it approaches. Compare the named producer and issuing insurer on the proposal rather than relying on historical brand associations. 22 23 3
A Program Application Is Useful but Is Not the Policy
The public Corix cyber/E&O application names United Specialty and describes selectable coverage modules and defense-cost treatment. It is one program application, not proof that a new Vouch buyer receives that insurer or the complete wording. RiskCube’s AI/excess descriptions don’t name an issuer or specimen policy publicly. Ask RiskCube for both. These are different levels of publicly documented detail, but neither substitutes for the proposed policy and endorsements. 27 20 5 7
Corix’s product page qualifies AI, social-engineering and intellectual-property descriptions with conditions, sublimits or exclusions. A startup selling autonomous services should ask each broker to show where those activities fit in the offered contract. Do not carry a Corix feature into a non-Corix Vouch quote or presume that RiskCube’s AI label fills every exclusion. 26 7
Compare Review Deliverables, Not Just Access to Advisors
Vouch offers a complimentary coverage review with peer benchmarking and reviews of customer, lease and funding requirements. RiskCube describes vendor-contract review and broker-reviewed quote comparison. Ask each for a written list of proposed changes and unresolved requirements. A benchmark can help frame a limit discussion without proving that peer limits are right for this company’s contracts. 30 31 6 1
Vouch also advertises claims advocacy at no cost for clients; RiskCube describes human-led advocacy. That is a service-scope comparison, not claims-payment evidence. Vouch discloses commissions and potential payment costs, while RiskCube’s fee-free marketing is qualified by possible service/payment fees. Identify the services and charges on the chosen engagement before treating either review or advocacy offer as an all-inclusive price. 35 14 6 3
What Should You Confirm in RiskCube and Vouch Quotes?
- Is each document issued by the current broker, Corix or the insurer, and which legal entity bears the risk? 14 27 4
- Which AI activities, IP allegations and defense costs are covered, excluded or sublimited under this proposal? 26 7
- What concrete changes follow the review, and which require insurer approval before a certificate can reflect them? 33 4
- What compensation and payment charges apply, and is California producer authority current for the transaction? 16 14 2 3
RiskCube vs Vouch Services Compared
What each provider documents about the services you may need
| Criteria | RiskCube | Vouch |
|---|---|---|
| Business role | RiskCube helps startups compare insurance through a broker and platform; RiskCube Insurance Services, LLC arranges coverage, while third-party insurers issue policies. 4,3Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. | Vouch’s current disclosure identifies Vouch Specialty Insurance Services, LLC as the entity that brokers insurance. Vouch Group, Inc. is the group name used in that disclosure. The brokerage arranges policies with insurers; the insurer named on each policy takes on the covered risk. 14,20Company-reported. Current 6 August 2025 disclosure takes precedence over the older Terms of Use for current broker identity. No independent corporate registry or license finding implied. Hiscox announced an agreement in August 2025 to acquire Corix Insurance Services, LLC and Vouch Insurance Company, while Vouch would remain an independent broker with a multi-year Hiscox distribution agreement. Hiscox’s 2025 annual report records the Corix acquisition closing on August 11, 2025. 22,23Company-reported. Acquirer announcement covers both named entities; audited annual-report note 25 explicitly confirms Corix closing. Does not independently establish the separate carrier transfer date, regulatory approval or any particular policy migration. Corix’s January 2025 legal disclosure still describes it as part of Vouch, even though the same page now displays Hiscox branding. Hiscox’s later annual report records the acquisition. The older ownership paragraph should not be used to describe the current Vouch brokerage. 25,23Conflicting sources. Conflict is retained and resolved for the article using later transaction evidence; no conclusion that the distribution agreement ended. |
| Access to insurers | RiskCube says it compares multiple insurers, but does not identify the carrier for a specific California applicant; ask for the insurer and surplus-lines status. 1,4,3,5Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. | Corix’s disclosures name State National Insurance Company, Inc. for its admitted offerings and United Specialty Insurance Company for certain surplus-lines offerings. These are Corix program disclosures; they do not identify the insurer on every policy placed by Vouch. 25Company-reported. Company-described insurer relationships only, not independent verification of admitted status or product authority. No current complete Vouch product/carrier/state matrix found. Corix’s public management liability application names United Specialty Insurance Company. It offers directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary liability selections, with a warning about claims-made liability and defense costs reducing the limit unless endorsed otherwise. 39Company-reported. Application SML 10-0002 03 25, printed page 1 of 13, linked from the current management liability product page. This identifies one public program application, not the insurer for every Vouch D&O or employment practices placement. |
| Application process | RiskCube describes a digital intake followed by AI-assisted, broker-reviewed comparison and purchase, but the application reviewed showed only a contact form. 1,11Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. Technology E&O applicants should prepare product, customer, revenue, contract, claims and incident details; RiskCube qualifies quote timing based on risk and underwriting complexity. 7Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. A quote is not coverage: RiskCube requires written confirmation from an insurer or authorized representative and satisfaction of binding conditions. 4Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. | Vouch’s public application starts with your legal business name, website, business address and location type, followed by your role and contact details. There is a separate sign-in path for an existing application or policy. 18Company-reported. Chrome observation of public first screen only. No personal or business data entered, account created, consent accepted or application submitted. Later steps not tested. Vouch says its platform presents carrier options together, with differences in coverage, exclusions, endorsements and pricing explained by advisors. The reviewed pages do not promise a fixed number of quotes or a search of every insurer. 20Company-reported. Company-described authenticated comparison experience; not tested. This is curated brokerage access, not proof of whole-market coverage. Vouch says many technology companies can arrange coverage within days, with smaller programs sometimes completed in minutes. Those are company timing claims. Its buying guide says coverage requires binding confirmation and the effective date, with underwriting and payment conditions satisfied. 19,21Company-reported. Technology FAQ and June 2026 educational binding guide; no actual application or bind completed. No guaranteed turnaround adopted. |
| Servicing and renewals | RiskCube says its platform supports policies, certificates and renewal notices; a certificate does not change policy coverage. 1,4Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. RiskCube says it reviews vendor insurance requirements and requested endorsements, but warns AI-assisted output may be incomplete; verify each contract term yourself. 6,4Company-reported. Official public RiskCube materials reviewed on September 16, 2026; company statements, not independent regulatory or policy verification. | Vouch offers a complimentary coverage review that it describes as identifying gaps and comparing a program with industry peers. It also offers reviews of insurance requirements in leases, customer agreements and funding arrangements. 30,31Company-reported. Service descriptions; no independent proof of completeness, savings or satisfaction of a specific contract. Vouch says customers can request certificates of insurance through their account and include a third party in the request. A certificate summarizes insurance; the policy and any required endorsements determine that third party’s actual coverage. 32,33Company-reported. Published COI workflow and distinction between holder and additional insured. Account access and turnaround not tested. Vouch says it coordinates documentation, communication and renewal cycles across carriers. Its renewal guide asks buyers to prepare updated financials, claims history and business changes, starting 30–60 days before renewal. That is preparation guidance, not a guaranteed service timetable or automatic renewal commitment. 20,34Company-reported. Carrier-options service description and 30 July 2025 educational guide. Exact renewal contact cadence and renewal terms not disclosed in these sources. |
| Fees and compensation | Get the total price and compensation in writing: RiskCube advertises no added broker fee but also allows service and processing fees, insurer/intermediary commissions and incentives. 1,6,3Conflicting sources. Marketing/legal disclosure tension; not a finding that any individual client has been charged an undisclosed fee. No specific commission rate or service fee schedule established. | Vouch Specialty earns commissions on insurance sales and may also receive compensation based on the performance of the products sold. Its disclosure invites questions about compensation on a specific proposal or placement; it does not publish a commission percentage. 14Company-reported. 6 August 2025 disclosure. No zero-fee, fiduciary independence or whole-market claim inferred from independent broker terminology. Vouch may pass through credit-card, debit-card or ACH transaction fees where permitted. Its disclosure lists wire and check as alternatives and says premium financing may be offered through Slash Eureka, Inc., doing business as Ascend, or an affiliate. 14Company-reported. Published payment and finance disclosure, not a verified legal entitlement to charge in any state. No fee schedule, finance APR, total finance cost or individual quote reviewed. |
