Is Corgi Legit? Licensing, Carriers and Reliability
Corgi has no Broker Reliability Score because the reviewed evidence is insufficient for a numerical assessment. Corgi has no Carrier & MGA Reliability Score because the reviewed evidence is insufficient for a numerical assessment. Reliability Scores assess documented reliability within the reviewed scope; they do not predict claims payment.

What Our Research Found About Corgi
Role: Hybrid provider. Scope: Corgi Insurance Services, Inc. as producer and programme administrator, verified active in Texas, Pennsylvania and Colorado only, with Corgi Insurance Company, Inc. and Technology Risk Retention Group, Inc. as the separately disclosed risk-bearing entities. Capacity is assessed for three named channels and no others: coverages written on Corgi Insurance Company's own paper, where Georgia admitted and Pennsylvania surplus-lines authorisations are verified; coverages written by Technology Risk Retention Group, an Arizona-domiciled RRG registered in Georgia; and Pennsylvania placements with the three Employers-group carriers appointed to the producer entity. The unnamed partner carriers referenced in Corgi's disclaimer, and the carriers behind Corgi business in every other state, are not assessed. The Georgia producer identifier Corgi publishes did not resolve and is outside verified scope.
Corgi Legal Identity
Corgi identifies Corgi Insurance Services as producer and administrator, and distinguishes Corgi Insurance Company, partner carriers and Technology Risk Retention Group. The insurer named in the policy controls coverage and claims obligations.1
Corgi Licensing
Corgi publishes agency identifiers including California 6012791 and Wisconsin 3003088729; these are company-reported producer evidence, not independent confirmation of every line, appointment or product. Rhode Island's list identifies Technology Risk Retention Group by NAIC 17763 as an RRG.2,4
Three of the fifty states in Corgi's published table are independently verified against state records as of 22 September 2026, and all three are current for Corgi Insurance Services, Inc. under National Producer Number 21153109: Texas General Lines Agency 3173231, Pennsylvania Producer 1188371 and Colorado Non-Resident Agency 842694, each Active with property and casualty lines. Georgia does not reconcile. The identifier Corgi publishes for Georgia, 3710375, returned no agency record on the state's licence-number search, and the alternative firm-name search requires a matching city and returned nothing for San Francisco. That leaves the Georgia identifier unresolved; it is not a finding that Corgi lacks Georgia authority, and it should be rechecked before the published table is relied on.8,9,10,12,2
Corgi Financial Strength
The reviewed materials do not provide a current AM Best action, statutory surplus or audited financial statement for Corgi Insurance Company. Corgi separately states that Technology Risk Retention Group has no AM Best rating; that statement is not generalized to the admitted carrier. AM Best's company directory, checked on 23 September 2026, had no record for 'corgi' or for 'technology rrg'. That is not proof that either entity has no rating anywhere.1,5,6,7
State company records confirm that both risk-bearing entities exist and are authorised, and also show how new they are. Corgi Insurance Company, Inc., NAIC 17989, is Georgia-domiciled and has been active in Georgia as a property-and-casualty company only since 21 August 2026 and in Pennsylvania on a surplus-lines footing since 3 September 2026. Technology Risk Retention Group, Inc., NAIC 17763, is Arizona-domiciled and registered in Georgia since 17 July 2026. Authorisation is not capital: no statutory annual statement, surplus figure or rating action was found for either entity, and a carrier authorised for a matter of weeks has no multi-period record to assess. Corgi's own disclaimer says TRRG carries no AM Best rating.11,1,5
Corgi Risk Bearing
Corgi distinguishes producer, affiliated carrier, partner carrier and RRG roles. RRG policies are described as outside state guaranty funds, and the quote or policy is needed to identify the risk-bearing entity, claims administrator and applicable guaranty-fund treatment.1,3
Corgi's evidenced capacity is programme-specific and thin. For coverages written on its own affiliated paper, the issuer is Corgi Insurance Company, Inc., whose Georgia admitted authorisation and Pennsylvania surplus-lines authorisation are verified; note that Corgi's disclaimer calls it an admitted carrier while Pennsylvania records it as surplus lines, so the footing varies by state. For coverages written by Technology Risk Retention Group, the issuer is an Arizona-domiciled RRG whose policies sit outside state guaranty funds. For placements with unaffiliated markets, the only regulator-recorded relationships found are three Pennsylvania appointments effective 29 May 2026: Employers Assurance Company (NAIC 25402), Employers Compensation Insurance Company (11512) and Employers Preferred Insurance Company (10346). Those are Pennsylvania appointments of the producer entity and say nothing about the carriers behind Corgi's business in any other state. The disclaimer's reference to partner carriers 'rated A- (Excellent) or better' names no carrier and is not mapped to any programme.1,11,9
Corgi Claims Service
Corgi describes assistance with reporting, documentation, legal coordination and progress updates, while noting that an affiliate or third-party administrator may handle a claim. These are company-described service roles, not independent claims outcomes.1
Corgi states that claims on policies underwritten by Corgi-affiliated carriers may be administered by affiliated claims operations within the Corgi group and that claims may also be administered by third-party claims administrators. Both limbs are optional and no administrator is named for any programme, so which organisation would handle a given claim is a matter for the policy rather than for the disclosure. No adjuster licence was found for any Corgi entity in Texas, Pennsylvania or Colorado.1,8,9
Corgi Regulatory Record
NAIC guidance describes RRG annual filings, limited non-domiciliary authority and exclusion from state guaranty funds. No completed five-year conduct result is available for Corgi's agency or carrier entities.3
Six state records across the producer and the two risk-bearing entities were retrieved on 22 September 2026 and none carries a restriction or adverse notation. All three producer licences and both carrier authorisations are recent, so there is little history to search. A licence status is not a conduct search and no completed five-year conduct result exists for any Corgi entity.8,9,10,11
What We Couldn’t Confirm About Corgi
- Corgi's published Georgia producer identifier 3710375 returned no record in the Georgia agency licence-number search on 22 September 2026, and the firm-name route needs a matching city that was not found. The identifier is unresolved.
- Current authority is not independently established for the remaining forty-six states in the published table, including California and Wisconsin. The California lookup could not be completed.
- No statutory financial statements, policyholder surplus or rating action were found for Corgi Insurance Company, Inc., and an AM Best search for 'corgi' on 23 September 2026 returned no record. It has been authorised in Georgia since 21 August 2026 and in Pennsylvania since 3 September 2026, so there is no multi-period record to assess.
- Technology Risk Retention Group, Inc. carries no AM Best rating by Corgi's own statement, and an AM Best search for 'technology rrg' on 23 September 2026 returned no record. No RRG financial filing was obtained. Its registration coverage outside Georgia and Rhode Island is not established.
- Corgi describes its carrier on the platform as admitted while Pennsylvania records it on a surplus-lines footing; the state-by-state admitted versus surplus-lines map is not published.
- The partner carriers 'rated A- (Excellent) or better' are not named, and no reinsurance, fronting or capacity terms are disclosed for any Corgi programme.
- Claims administration is described as optionally affiliated or third-party with no administrator named for any programme, and no adjuster licence was found for a Corgi entity in Texas, Pennsylvania or Colorado.
- No completed five-year conduct result is available for any Corgi entity.
