WTW Reviews 2026
WTW has little useful review evidence for a business buyer. Its one counted score is 807 out of 1,000 from a 2017 J.D. Power study of large commercial brokers, and Trustpilot's 2.1 from 9 reviews isn't counted.
WTW has little recent review evidence for business insurance buyers; here's what we found, what it can't tell you and what to ask.

Other sources checked (3)
- NerdWallet
The reviewed business-insurance guide did not establish a WTW provider review or WTW consumer-average metric. This doesn't show that NerdWallet has never covered WTW.10
NerdWallet business-insurance guide reviewed for a WTW/Willis Towers Watson provider review; this check did not audit every NerdWallet insurance page or archived edition.
- ConsumerAffairs
No WTW review or score appeared on the checked insurance landing page. No ConsumerAffairs consumer average is claimed.9
ConsumerAffairs insurance landing page and its visible categories, plus exact-name find for Willis Towers Watson. This did not search every current or archived ConsumerAffairs page and does not establish broad absence.
- NAIC
NAIC's public company lookup is designed to identify insurers, licenses and insurer complaint information. The NAIC distinguishes consumer complaints about an insurer or agent, but its company complaint index described here is a carrier metric; this package does not assign it to WTW or any unverified underwriting carrier.7,8
NAIC Consumer Insurance Search and closed confirmed complaint-index material concern insurers and insurance carriers; WTW's cited role is an intermediary/broker, not a risk-bearing insurer. No WTW groupwide insurer complaint index can be attributed.
J.D. Power scored WTW 807 out of 1,000 in 2017
J.D. Power studied large commercial brokers in the US and Canada. WTW scored 801 with three Power Circles in 2016 and 807 with two circles in 2017.3,4
These are old results about big corporate clients, not small businesses, and not today's service. The 2017 study covered 2,506 evaluations across all brokers, and J.D. Power doesn't say how many were for WTW.6,5
Trustpilot shows 2.1 from 9 reviews, but it isn't about brokerage
The global WTW page has 9 reviews and a 2.1 out of 5 score, with 5 from the last 12 months. Every visible rating share is one star.2
The complaints we could see are mostly about pensions, benefits and investments, including delays and unanswered contacts. WTW runs many businesses in many countries, so this doesn't tell you how it treats commercial insurance clients.2
BBB lists 4 complaints, none about insurance brokerage
BBB's Chicago page for Willis Towers Watson shows four complaints in the last three years and none closed in the last 12 months. All four are marked unpursuable.1
The topics we could see are pension and employee-benefit administration, not commercial insurance. BBB notes the displayed complaints may not be everything, and that a big company will naturally have a lot of transactions.1
Missing ratings and what counts in the score
NerdWallet and ConsumerAffairs show no WTW rating.10,9
NAIC complaint records cover insurers, and WTW acts as a broker, so we don't apply them.7,8
Only the J.D. Power result counts in the Review Score. We left out the Trustpilot score and BBB complaints because they mostly describe pensions and benefits, not commercial insurance.4,2,1
Limitations of WTW Review Data
- The only counted score is from 2017 and covers large corporate clients, not small businesses.
- The Trustpilot and BBB pages mostly show pension and benefits complaints, which say little about commercial insurance.
- Nine Trustpilot reviews and four BBB complaints are very small numbers for a company this big.
- Reviews of a broker say little about how the insurer behind your policy handles claims.
What Should You Ask WTW Before You Buy?
- Will my account be handled by a team that works with businesses my size?
- Who will be my day-to-day contact, and how fast do you respond to requests?
- Which insurer will issue my policy, and who handles claims?
- Can you connect me with a current client of similar size and industry?
