What Does Product Liability Insurance Cover?

Product-liability coverage may defend claims that a product caused bodily injury or damaged someone else’s property.

Product coverage may be part of CGL’s products-completed-operations section, with limits and exclusions set by the policy.

Check which products and entities are insured, the territory, limits, deductible, and exclusions. A defect alone does not establish coverage, and the policy generally does not pay to repair your own product or fund every recall.
