# What Insurance Covers Failed Software Implementations?

Technology E&O may cover a customer’s claim that negligent software implementation caused financial loss; the cost to finish or redo the project may be excluded.

Texas DOI describes professional liability as covering claims arising from professional services, including failure to provide them, but your policy must include the implementation services you perform.

Separate a customer’s damages claim from your own cost to finish or correct work. Ask whether migration, hosting, integration, and configuration are covered services, and how the form treats refunds, service credits, and contractual acceptance guarantees.
